I have put all of the detailed drawings and documents needed to build this unit out in the public domain.

This includes parts lists with sources, schematics, assembly drawings, detailed assembly and operations procedures.

The current revisions reside in many Yahoo radio groups files areas as well as here.

The goal is to have a high quality portable CAT level converter and sound card interface to home brew.

I encourage home brew of this design. With the world economy down as it is, home brew is becoming quite popular.

Please try and use the specified shielded mini DIN jacks for the ACCY and DATA lines.

Using foil shielded cables is a must also. These items reduce RF interference and improve the quality of your operation.

I have bare solder mask silk screen P.C. boards to simplify home building.

This unit is designed to work with the Yaesu "Portable" series of radios. FT-100, FT-817, FT-857, FT-897.

It also works well with the older Yaesu CAT radios like the FT-1000D, FT-840, FT-736R, FT-890 and others. The only change is that the ACCY and DATA cable sets are different. A version with the CAT level conversion parts left out works well with the FT-450, FT-950 FT-1000MP, FT-920, FT-2000, FT-9000. The cables are the same as the "portable" rigs.

I only own Yaesu rigs so I have no clue if this circuit will work with any other brand of radio.
